Saturday, January, 24, 2009 was Yoga Day USA and I had a Yoga Pose Breakdown Workshop at the University of Texas At Dallas Activity Center. It was a wonderful experience participating in the day and holding a free event to introduce newcomers to yoga and to deepen their practice for those with yoga experience.
I truly enjoy holding these kinds of workshops; they give me an opportunity to work more directly with individuals teaching the specifics of poses and flows. We walked through several poses from mountain to tree to down dog, up dog and many others; we also spent time working on several flows.
The students had a great time as did I. - Veronica
I was able to attend Veronica’s workshop and thoroughly enjoyed myself. In most of the yoga sessions I’ve taken there is no real opportunity to stop and ask questions or even get adjustments when I’m not quite set correctly in a pose.
This was great, because I could ask questions, get adjustments to better understand exactly how the poses should be done. - Rick
Yoga Day USA - our first experience participating in this great event.
